Week 1: Discussion Questions

1) What are ways to differentiate between “Shovels”, “Sinkholes, and “Graves”? If you were to identify the ones that were most impactful in your life, which one would it be?

2) Name a time when you thought a pit was the worst thing to happen to you, but looking back it became the thing that defines who you are today? What was the event, and how does it show itself in your life today?

3) Choose 1 to answer:

A) Are you in a pit today? If so, what worries you most about getting out?

B) Tell about a time you got yourself out of a pit? (Example Topics: Financial, Relational, Family, Vocational).

4) Do you struggle with the concept that God will use all “pits” for a purpose? Explain your reasoning.
